Stopped breathing

Mouth-to-mouth / mouth-to-nose resuscitation

Severe bleeding

Press firmly on the wound; raise the limb; dress and go to hospital

Electric shock

Switch off the source first; resuscitate; treat burns; go to hospital

Drowning

Resuscitate; keep the victim warm (hypothermia risk)

Poisoning

Identify the poison; dilute with milk/water/oil if conscious; never induce vomiting for corrosive poison

Bee sting

Remove sting; neutralise with weak ammonia or sodium bicarbonate

Wasp sting

Treat with lemon juice or dilute ethanoic acid

Snake bite

Keep victim calm; incise wound; tourniquet above the bite; rush to hospital
