LISTENING

To succeed in the listening section, the candidate should be able to identify:

• the main topic and essential points;
• reasons and explanations;
• the speaker’s purpose and attitude.

Important points to note: while the examiner reads, you need to take down notes. This should comprise of only the essentials. You cannot write down every word. Simply write the topic → main points → examples →conclusion
