As you already know, written literature is divided into different genres. One of these is Drama. This is a form of literature that tells a story through the speech, actions and thoughts of carefully crafted characters known as dramatis personnel. Unlike poetry and prose, drama is written to be performed on stage before a live audience. It combines dialogue, action, movement, costumes, music, lighting and stage directions to communicate ideas as well as entertain, educate or inspire the audience.
